"The specific objective of the project is to build and equip, by December 31, 2024, a day center for children at risk of separation from their parents in Vladeni Commune, Ialomita County, with the mission of preventing the separation of children from their families by providing daytime counseling, independent living skills development, and guidance activities. The center's mission is to prevent the separation of children from their families by providing daytime counseling, independent living skills development, educational and career guidance, etc. for children, as well as support, counseling, education, etc. for parents. The services to be provided by the day center are complementary to the efforts and endeavors of the child's own family, as arising from parental obligations and responsibilities, as well as to the services provided by educational institutions and other service providers, in accordance with the individual needs of the child in his or her socio-family context.

The day center for children at risk of separation from their parents will have a built area of 468 square meters and will meet the requirement for buildings with nearly zero energy consumption, in accordance with national guidelines and other future efficiency measures.

Beneficiaries

The target group of the project will be approximately 2,150 people, including 345 people under the age of 15, consisting of children attending day centers, their parents or other family members, specialists involved in activities with children, volunteers, Roma leaders and experts, as well as the majority population in the localities where the day center operates.
